Church Media Library
The first priority
of our Church Media
Library is service. We
have at the present time
a collection of over
3200 books, excluding
paperbacks. Of this
collection, the greatest
emphasis is on religious
books, including authors
Charles Swindoll,
Charles Colson, Max
Lucado, John MacArthur,
and Billy Graham. Not
only are there many
books that are
spiritually uplifting
for individuals, but
there are commentaries,
handbooks, concordances,
dictionaries, atlases,
and self-helps for
Sunday School teachers.
Our media library is
divided into three
divisions: children,
juvenile, and youth and
adult. In these three
divisions, we try to
maintain a balanced
collection of books and
materials covering a
wide range of subjects.
In addition to books,
other materials our
library offers are: an
up-to-date information
file, video cassettes,
and cassette tapes.
Our library is
well-equipped with audio
visual equipment. Our
library is open on
Sunday mornings before
and after Sunday School,
Sunday nights, and
Wednesday nights. If a
user should need to use
the Library during the
week, a staff member
will be happy to be of
service to you. It is
the desire of the
Library Media Center
staff to serve its
members at First Baptist
Church. We truly want
to be a Media Library
touching lives.
Video Projection
Video Projection is used
each Sunday morning
before the worship
service begins.
Announcements, current
and upcoming events, and
weekly schedules are
shown on the screen.
Video Projection is also
used at various times to
display everything from
song lyrics to sermon
notes and other special
videos and slides that
provide an enhancement
to our worship
experience.
Website
Our website contains
information on upcoming
events, staff
biographies and email
links, ministry
opportunities and other
special features. The
website provides a
resource for finding out
what is happening
throughout a number of
ministries in our
Church. If you are
looking for information
or online Christian
resources, start with
the FBC
home page and let us
point you in the right
direction. |
